Very busy Thai dessert shop in lovely local neighbourhood Talat Phlu. For someone who does not speak Thai and has no idea about Thai dessert, I was so pleasantly surprised how well I was looked after by the lovely auntie who I believe is the owner of the shop, who btw speaks very good English. I asked if they could make me a sample box to take on the plane with me and the aunties took the time out of their busy day to make me a lovely sampler box and I was so impressed that I got another one. If you are in the neighbourhood do yourself a favour and pay this shop a visit and you will be pleasantly surprised.

🍰 Dessert [5/5] 1) Coconut Milk Pandan Sago Cake (6/5) This dessert is a real treat! It boasts an extremely fragrant pandan taste with a subtle sweetness in the pandan paste. The combination of the slightly salty coconut milk and the fragrant, slightly crunchy sago makes this an exceptional dessert that you must try at least once in your lifetime. 2) Pandan Thousand Layer Cake (5/5) Once again, the pandan flavor shines through in this dessert. Each layer is crafted with care to create a chewy texture, with just the right amount of oil used. It's a must-try as well! 3) Coconut Milk Pandan Jelly Cake (4.75/5) Featuring that same delightful pandan flavor and savory coconut milk, this dessert uses a jelly texture instead of paste. It's still delicious, but the jelly texture was a bit too fragile and I will prefer it to be a bit more squishy. 4) Coconut Milk Black Glutinous Rice Cake (2/5) Despite being recommended by a YouTuber, this dessert was disappointing. The coconut milk in this dessert lacked flavor, and the black glutinous rice was tough, lacking fragrance and stickiness. Even the addition of golden egg yolk threads couldn't salvage the overall taste. 5) Coconut Milk Taro Cake (2/5) While the coconut milk was still good, the taro filling fell short in terms of fragrance and texture—it was tough and rough. In Conclusion: It seems that everything with pandan taste great! :) ðŸĪ Service [4/5] The staff is very friendly and goes the extra mile to assist foreigners who can't speak Thai. ☀ïļ Ambience [3/5] This is a traditional shop with no air conditioning, and with the long queue extending outside, it can get quite warm in the afternoon. 🌐 Please ensure you are at the correct location, as there have been cases of people posting photos of a nearby shop at Google Maps, thinking it was this one. The Google Maps location is accurate; you should be able to see the train tracks and trains directly to your right when facing the shop. Additionally, there is a long queue with a number rack at the shop's entrance. 🕒 To estimate your queue time, they take approximately 1-1.5 minutes to serve each number. For example, if your number is 60 and the current number displayed on their side (located on the wall behind the staff) is 20, you can expect to wait for about 40-60 minutes (I waited 1.15 hours for 55 numbers). ðŸ”Ē You can take a number from the wall and use your time wisely to explore nearby shops/stalls, returning when your number is close. Also, be sure to stand closer to the staff if you can't understand Thai when they call out the numbers, as they will call out numbers in Thai. ðŸ’ē Value [4.5/5] With no minimum order and each dessert priced at 8 Baht, it's incredibly affordable considering the effort that goes into hand-wrapping each dessert in banana leaves and the quality of the treats.

Tasty traditional Thai desserts shop which is one of Bangkok’s open secrets. Shop starts open from 11am and everything normally runs out by 5pm. Once you enter, you have to pick your queue card first on the wall, then wait until they call out your queue number before you can start ordering and pay. All popular Thai desserts are there for your selection at affordable price.

I have been eating popular menus such as golden threads egg or Foi Thong , golden drop egg , Thai custard sticky rice and Sweet sticky rice with flavor shrimps. If you come to purchase at the shop so, you will meet more yummy Thai desserts menu. All Thai desserts always sweet , oily ( is made from coconut) and yummy. Please come to purchase early otherwise, the most popular menus are gone. Real Thai taste plus reasonable price.

Cheap, delicious Thai desserts/snacks. I generally order Ta-koh : custard with coconut cream topping Ka-nom-chan: Multi-layer soft rectangular cake (more like jello) made from rice flour. It comes in several colors: green(pandan leaves), blue (An chan leaves), for instance. Foi-Thong: (Thong= gold) Fine noodle-like golden sweet made from eggs and syrups. When these ingredients are made into other shapes, the names change. For example, Thong-yod: solid circular sphere shape Thong-yip: circular shape pushed in the middle with curvy styles on the rims. There are other local desserts as well, you just need to point and pay
